In 2023, a series based on the titular character was confirmed to be in early stages of development. The series was ordered to feature 8 episodes by September 2024 and in December 2025, it was announced that the series would be released weekly on [[Facebook]] starting on January 14, 2026.

On December 17, 2025, it was announced that [[Danielle Panabaker]] would reprise her role as [[Caitlin Snow (Arrowverse)|Caitlin Snow]].

Filming took place in Vancouver, British Columbia, with extensive use of practical lighting effects to distinguish Bart’s unstable speed from Barry Allen’s traditional Speed Force visuals.

Composer Blake Neely introduced a new musical motif for Bart that deliberately avoids The Flash’s iconic theme, reinforcing the character’s struggle to escape his father’s identity.
