Whilst walking home with Mady, Evan is approached by a man who confesses he is a murderer after killing someone a year ago. Evan demands he turn himself into the police. Alex, Ethan, and Miles begin a search for all of the minions let into Northpoint by Jackson. Alex reveals that he has telekinetic abilities and will stay in the present for the foreseeable future. Jackson appears, attacks Evan and Mady, prompting Alex to appear with Miles and using his powers, drives the latter away. Hale arrests the man who confessed and demand Evan to help arrest those who confess to murder; though Mady agrees against it. In the Other Town, Jackson approaches the shadowy entity, who calls itself "Flayor", and asks Jackson to kill Alex and Evan. The people of Northpoint demand and protest to keep the "confession engine" online, believing it will finally bring justice. Miles, Alex, Evan, Ben, and Ethan find the machine and disable it then destroy it and take the engine battery. Jackson discovers this and vows to kill them one by one.

With the danger unresolved for those without protection, Evan and Mady depart Northpoint alongside Elaine and Mara, promising to return. As the town gathers for a subdued celebration, Alex senses a looming presence beyond the conflict, realizing something far greater is approaching.

Elaine begins suffering visions of the Other Town dimension which leads her to spit blood. At school, Claire and Evan begin working together and learn that they are the only ones who remember the events that happened three months ago. Ben Holloway, revealed to have been resurrected, escapes the Other Town and reunites with Mara Holloway, who introduces him to her boyfriend Bob. After school, Noah Pike crosses paths with a portal and deduces it is to the other dimension, which he sees a figure, but thinks nothing of it. In the Other Town dimension, the entity is revealed to be the "Warewolf", with it explaining to a severely injured Kerr. Warewolf kills Kerr stating that he took advantage of the erasers that occured months prior, and vows to eliminate the kids and take control of the main dimension. Sheriff Rowan Hale meets up with Evan and informs him of Kerr's death, leading to Evan to suggest that it relates to the other dimension.

At Rowan’s request, Noah and Evan enlist Lucas to help investigate Kerr’s death. In the Other Town, Warewolf restrains Whitlock in a cage, claiming it wanted him to understand what he had helped conceal, and reveals that it was once human. Elsewhere, Linda Parks is attacked by a shadow entity resembling one of the beings defeated months earlier and is killed before Ben intervenes; it is revealed that Ben has been secretly experiencing visions of the disappearances, the deaths, and Warewolf itself. Warewolf later kills Whitlock and identifies itself as Jackson Miller, a boy who vanished during the first incursion in 1970. Ben confides in Evan about his visions and warns him that a wolf-like figure is responsible for the recent attacks. As the episode ends, Warewolf opens a portal and crosses into the main dimension.

Evan and Elaine alongside Lucas, Claire, and Ben learn that the entity, that Hale dubs "Wolfman", is in their dimension and is from the Other Town. Warewolf attacks an apartment and he causes the owner to see visions and reads his mind to find out where the police is, so that he can "cleanse the souls" of the corrupt. Evan meets Mady Porter and the two agree to go on a date, ending with a kiss. Elaine is attacked by a minion and is dragged to a deserted area, where the others follow but the entire group are attacked by Warewolf, who vows to kill them, but not "yet" as he "has plans for them". After beating them, Warewolf leaves. Sheriff Hale and all the officers arrive, where Hale deems the teens not the intended target. Warewolf watches from the distance and summons a portal to the Other Town where he returns to. In hospital, Lucas reveals that Ben has been hiding something.
