The IDF European Championship is a professional darts tournament organised by the International Darts Federation (IDF). The tournament was established in 2023 and features leading players from the IDF circuit competing for the title of European champion.

The competition was first held in 2023, but no tournament took place in 2024. It returned in 2025 and is intended to be staged as one of the leading ranked events on the IDF calendar.

History[edit | edit source]

The inaugural 2023 IDF European Championship was held in 2023. Max Mad won the first title after defeating Luke Littler 11–1 in the final. Mad dominated the match to become the tournament's inaugural champion.

No edition of the tournament was held in 2024.

The championship returned with the 2025 IDF European Championship. Alex Brow won the title with an 11–8 victory in the final, becoming the tournament's second champion.

Format[edit | edit source]

The IDF European Championship is played in a straight knockout format, with matches contested over legs. The final is played as a best-of-21-legs match, with the first player to win 11 legs becoming champion.

The precise format, qualification system and number of entrants may vary between editions.

Qualification[edit | edit source]

Players qualify for the IDF European Championship through the relevant IDF rankings and qualification criteria announced for each edition. Places may be awarded through the IDF Order of Merit, regional rankings, qualifying events or other designated IDF competitions.
