Background
His victory also reversed the result of the previous Grand Slam final, in which White defeated Brow 16–13.
The Grand Slam of Darts is one of the IDF's major ranking tournaments and differs from most events on the circuit through its opening round-robin group stage.

The 2026 tournament is scheduled to take place three weeks after the 2026 IDF European Championship, which was won by Logan White after he defeated defending champion Alex Brow 16–14 in the final.

Elias Storm enters the Grand Slam as the fifth seed. Storm returned from a broken wrist at the European Championship, where he defeated Cole Hamilton in the first round before losing 11–9 to Nathan Owens in the second round. The Grand Slam will be Storm's second tournament since returning from the injury.

The 2026 IDF Grand Slam of Darts was a professional darts tournament organised by the International Darts Federation (IDF), held from 14 to 22 November 2026 at the Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton, England.

Alex Brow won the tournament, defeating Jeroen van Dijk 16–13 in the final. It was Brow's first Grand Slam title, having finished runner-up to Logan White in 2025.

White entered as the defending champion but was eliminated by Brow 16–14 in the quarter-finals. Brow subsequently defeated Max Mad 16–12 in the semi-finals before overcoming Van Dijk in the final.

Brow completed the tournament undefeated, winning all three of his group matches before victories over Nathan Owens, White, Mad and Van Dijk in the knockout stage.

Background[edit | edit source]

Format[edit | edit source]

The tournament began with eight groups of four players.

Each player played every other player in their group once. The top two players from each group advanced to the second round, while the bottom two were eliminated.

Group positions were determined by:

 1. Number of match wins
 2. Leg difference
 3. Legs won
 4. Head-to-head result
 5. Tournament average, if required

All group-stage matches were played over the best of nine legs.

The knockout stage was played as follows:

 • Group stage: best of 9 legs
 • Second round: best of 19 legs
 • Quarter-finals: best of 31 legs
 • Semi-finals: best of 31 legs
 • Final: best of 31 legs

The second round was therefore first to 10 legs, while all matches from the quarter-finals onwards were first to 16.

Prize money[edit | edit source]

The total prize fund was £800,000, with £175,000 awarded to the champion.

Stage Prize money Players Total

Prize money earned at the tournament counted towards the IDF Order of Merit.

Each player finishing top of their group received an additional £7,500 bonus.

Qualification[edit | edit source]

The tournament featured 32 players qualifying through several routes across the 2026 IDF season.

Automatic places were awarded to leading performers from major IDF tournaments, with additional places determined through the IDF Order of Merit and ProTour performances.

The final eight places were awarded through the IDF Grand Slam qualifier.

The eight highest-ranked qualified players on the IDF Order of Merit were designated as seeds.

Group stage[edit | edit source]

The group stage was played from 14 to 17 November.

Brow and White completed perfect campaigns in Groups A and B respectively.

Mad won Group C ahead of Duncan MacLeod following a three-way tie with Ethan Mitchell, while Ryan Thomas won all three of his Group D matches.

Rhys Morgan won Group E, with Elias Storm progressing in second ahead of Cole Hamilton.

Benjamin Carter won Group F ahead of Quinn Sanders. Harry Lewis topped Group G, while Jamie Fletcher qualified in second and seventh seed Jack Mercer was eliminated.

Semi-finals[edit | edit source]

Brow reached his second consecutive Grand Slam final by defeating Mad 16–12.

Mad led 4–2 in the early stages before Brow recovered to move 5–4 ahead. The match remained level at 8–8 before Brow won four consecutive legs to establish a 12–8 advantage.

Mad reduced the deficit to 13–11, but Brow regained control and completed the victory in the 28th leg.

Van Dijk defeated Storm 16–13 in the second semi-final.

Storm led 9–8 before Van Dijk won three consecutive legs. Storm recovered to level at 11–11, but Van Dijk responded with back-to-back 12-dart legs and eventually completed the match in the 29th leg.

Van Dijk averaged 109.06 compared with Storm's 106.84.

Final[edit | edit source]

Brow defeated Van Dijk 16–13 in the final to win his first IDF Grand Slam title.

Van Dijk, who entered the final undefeated after six consecutive victories at the tournament, made the stronger start. He broke Brow in the third leg and held in 13 darts to establish a 3–1 lead.

Brow responded immediately, winning three successive legs to move 4–3 ahead. Van Dijk levelled at 4–4 before Brow produced a 12-dart leg and a 104 checkout to lead 6–4 at the first significant interval.

Van Dijk recovered after the break, winning three of the next four legs to level the match at 7–7. Brow moved ahead again, but Van Dijk took out 121 to make the score 8–8.

The match remained level through 9–9 and 10–10 before Brow made the decisive move.

Brow won the 21st leg in 11 darts and broke Van Dijk in the following leg with a 128 checkout to establish a 12–10 lead.

Van Dijk immediately broke back with a 13-darter, but Brow responded with another break in 12 darts before holding throw to extend his advantage to 14–11.

Van Dijk refused to allow Brow to pull away, producing consecutive 14-dart legs to reduce the deficit to 14–13.

In the 28th leg, Brow held throw in 12 darts to move within one leg of the championship.

Van Dijk opened the following leg with scores of 140 and 180, but Brow remained close behind. Van Dijk left 72 after 12 darts, while Brow reached 87.

Van Dijk missed one dart at double 12 for a 72 finish.

Brow then checked out 87 in two darts, hitting treble 17 and double 18, to complete a 16–13 victory.

Brow averaged 111.64 in the final and hit 16 maximums. Van Dijk averaged 108.92 and recorded 13 maximums.

Brow finished the tournament undefeated and averaged over 110 in each of his four knockout matches.

The victory completed a significant turnaround from the previous year's final, when Brow had lost 16–13 to White. He also defeated White directly during the 2026 tournament, winning their quarter-final 16–14.
