The tournament was introduced to complement the IDF World Championship by providing an elite invitational event during the latter stages of each season. Its combination of seeded players, group-stage play and knockout finals quickly became one of the defining formats on the IDF Tour.

The group stage began on 12 December. Six groups of four players competed over four sessions, with the final group matches completed on 15 December.
 
[[Jordan Hale]], [[Connor Webb]], [[Owen Taylor]], [[Cameron King]], [[Nathan Ross]] and [[Mitchell Young]] each completed the group stage undefeated. Webb, Taylor, Ross and Young recorded the four highest averages among the group winners and received direct entry into the last 16.

The 2026 IDF Grand Slam was a professional darts tournament organised by the International Darts Federation (IDF), held from 12 to 20 December 2026 at the Adelaide Convention Centre in Adelaide, South Australia. It was the inaugural staging of the IDF Grand Slam and featured 32 players selected from the 2026 IDF Order of Merit.

The eight highest-ranked players on the Order of Merit received direct entry into the last 16 as seeded players. The remaining 24 players competed in six four-player round-robin groups, with the top two players from each group progressing. The four highest-ranked group winners advanced directly to the last 16, while the remaining eight qualifiers contested a preliminary knockout round.

Logan White won the tournament, defeating eighth seed Theo Bartlett 11–8 in the final. White entered as the number-one seed and defeated Daniel Mercer, Mason Clarke and Oliver Grant before overcoming Bartlett in the final. The victory earned White the inaugural IDF Grand Slam title and the A$20,000 first prize.

Bartlett reached the final after victories over group-stage qualifier Jordan Hale, second seed Ethan Cole and fourth seed Liam Foster. His 9–6 quarter-final victory over Cole was the highest-profile upset of the knockout stage.

White recorded the tournament's highest checkout, completing a 170 finish during his quarter-final victory over Clarke. No nine-dart finishes were recorded during the tournament.

Background[edit | edit source]

The IDF Grand Slam was introduced by the International Darts Federation as an end-of-season competition featuring the highest-ranked players from the IDF circuit. The event was designed to combine round-robin group competition with an extended knockout stage.

Qualification was determined entirely by the final 2026 IDF Order of Merit. The top eight players received seeded positions and direct entry into the last 16. Players ranked from ninth to 32nd entered the group stage.

The inaugural tournament was staged at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 12 to 20 December 2026. The group stage and preliminary round were held during the opening five days, followed by the last 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final.

Format[edit | edit source]

All matches were played in a legs format.

The eight seeded players did not participate in the group stage. The remaining 24 players were drawn into six groups of four, with every player facing the other three members of their group once.

Players received two points for a win and no points for a loss. Group positions were decided by the following criteria:

  1. Points;
  2. Leg difference;
  3. Legs won;
  4. Head-to-head result;
  5. Tournament three-dart average;
  6. Nine-dart shootout, if required.

The top two players in each group qualified for the knockout stage. The four group winners with the highest tournament averages received direct entry into the last 16. The other eight qualifiers entered the preliminary round.

The number of legs required to win increased throughout the tournament:

  • Group stage: Best of seven legs
  • Preliminary round: Best of 11 legs
  • Last 16: Best of 15 legs
  • Quarter-finals: Best of 17 legs
  • Semi-finals: Best of 19 legs
  • Final: Best of 21 legs

The total prize fund was A$80,000, with A$20,000 awarded to the champion. Group winners received an additional A$1,000 bonus regardless of their eventual knockout-stage finishing position.

The 32-player field was determined by the final 2026 IDF Order of Merit.

The top eight players qualified directly for the last 16 and were seeded according to their Order of Merit positions. Players ranked from ninth to 32nd entered the group stage.

Tournament summary[edit | edit source]

Group stage[edit | edit source]

The group stage began on 12 December. Six groups of four players competed over four sessions, with the final group matches completed on 15 December.

Jordan Hale, Connor Webb, Owen Taylor, Cameron King, Nathan Ross and Mitchell Young each completed the group stage undefeated. Webb, Taylor, Ross and Young recorded the four highest averages among the group winners and received direct entry into the last 16.

Hale was required to enter the preliminary round despite winning Group A. He defeated Tyler Evans 6–3 to progress. King also entered the preliminary round and defeated Jack Turner 6–2.

Thomas Baker qualified from Group F as runner-up before defeating Ryan Walsh 6–4. Luke Parker survived five missed match darts from Aaron Scott before winning the deciding leg of their preliminary-round match.

Last 16[edit | edit source]

The seeded players entered the tournament during the last 16.

Number-one seed Logan White began his campaign with an 8–4 victory over seventh seed Daniel Mercer. White led 4–0 before Mercer reduced the deficit to two legs, but White won four of the final six legs to advance.

Mason Clarke defeated Thomas Baker 8–6, while Oliver Grant overcame Connor Webb 8–5. Cameron King became the only group-stage entrant to reach the quarter-finals after defeating Luke Parker 8–7 in a deciding leg.

Noah Bennett recorded the largest victory of the round, defeating Nathan Ross 8–3. Liam Foster defeated Mitchell Young 8–6, Ethan Cole beat Owen Taylor 8–5, and Theo Bartlett eliminated Jordan Hale 8–4.

Quarter-finals[edit | edit source]

White defeated Clarke 9–6 in the opening quarter-final. White completed a 170 checkout during the 11th leg, the highest finish of the tournament, before winning three of the final four legs.

Grant ended King's run with a 9–7 victory. King recovered from 6–2 behind to level the match at 7–7, but Grant won the final two legs.

Foster defeated Bennett 9–8 in the only deciding-leg quarter-final. Bennett led 8–6 and missed two match darts before Foster won three consecutive legs.

Bartlett produced the largest upset of the tournament by defeating second seed Cole 9–6. Bartlett averaged 101.26 and completed four checkouts of more than 100.

Semi-finals[edit | edit source]

White defeated Grant 10–7 in the first semi-final. Grant led 5–3 before White won six consecutive legs to move within one leg of victory. Grant stopped the run by winning the 16th leg, but White completed the victory in the following leg.

Bartlett defeated Foster 10–8 in the second semi-final. The players were level at 8–8 before Bartlett completed finishes of 116 and 84 to reach the final.

Final[edit | edit source]

The final was played on 20 December between top seed Logan White and eighth seed Theo Bartlett.

White won the opening two legs before Bartlett responded with three consecutive legs. Neither player established a lead of more than two legs during the opening 12 legs, with the match level at 6–6.

White moved ahead by winning the 13th and 14th legs, but Bartlett reduced the deficit to 8–7. White then won two consecutive legs to move within one leg of the championship.

Bartlett prolonged the match by winning the 18th leg before White completed an 86 checkout to win the final 11–8. White averaged 99.74 in the final and hit seven maximums.

The victory gave White the inaugural IDF Grand Slam title and the A$20,000 winner's prize.
