Ascendants is a 2026 American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the X-Men. Ascendants was originally titled The Mutants before being officially retitled in December 2023. Following the name change, it was announced that composer Ludwig Göransson would score the film and assist in editing its soundtrack to incorporate thematic elements from previous entries in the MCU.
