''Dark Warfare'' features the first iteration of the cooperative round-based mode called Zombies. In the mode, players must survive against endless waves of the undead whilst earning currencies to buy Perk-a-Colas, new areas, and other upgrades. The Perks Quick Revive, Juggernog, Stamin-Up, and Speed Cola return from ''[[ShooterofIO 1: Modern Ops]]'' (2023) with two new perks Deadshot Daiquiri and Death Perception being introduced. The mode features a out of match system—"Augments"—Augments allow players to add additional abilities to their ammo mods, perks, and weapons. Players can obtain Augments from collecting the in-game currency Plasma–by simply playing the game. During a game, whilst killing Zombies, players will find Power-Ups, such as Nuke, Max Ammo, Double Points, and Insta-Kill.


The mode launched with two maps "Undead Forest" and "Der Palace", both launch maps are set in the Dark Aether storyline. A third map "Turm der Toten" was released on December 16, 2024. A fourth map, titled "Origins", was released on January 24, 2025. A fifth map, titled "Der River", was released on April 3, 2025. A sixth map, titled "Boomtown Zombies", was released with Season 04. The group ventures deep into the cursed rainforest, now crawling with undead that phase in and out of reality. At its heart, they discover a crystalline monolith keeping the rift open.
