Eclipse: Ascension is an upcoming American science fiction action film directed by and written by . It is intended as the concluding installment of both Part Three and Chapter One of the Eclipse franchise, following Eclipse: Nightfall (2024) and Eclipse: Reckoning (2025). Returning cast members include John Boyega, Florence Pugh, Kiersey Clemons, Steven Yeun, Jessica Henwick, John David Washington, Tuppence Middleton, and Winston Duke.
The film follows the fractured remnants of humanity and their allies as they attempt to close the final breach threatening all existence after the catastrophic Rift Event.

In the aftermath of the Rift Event, Mason Grey and his surviving allies must unite for one final confrontation to seal the cosmic breach and determine the fate of the world as the long twilight threatens to become eternal darkness.

- Jessica Henwick as Dr. Linh Voss, the Sentinel program’s architect.
- John David Washington as Elijah Ward, ex-military Sentinel.
- Tuppence Middleton as Mara Sloan, a government operative.
- Winston Duke as Terrence "Terry" Grant, a New Avalon survivor.

Development[edit | edit source]
A finished script for Eclipse: Ascension was completed in 2019 and the film was initially intended to serve as the inaugural entry in the MUF (Mob Universe Films).[1] However, the project was scrapped prior to pre-production due to poor script quality and concerns from the creative team about the franchise’s direction.[2]
Eclipse: Ascension was later greenlit in 2025 as the conclusion to the Eclipse saga’s first major arc, aiming to resolve ongoing plotlines and character arcs established in previous films.[3]
