Meanwhile, Alex leads "Diamond Planet," a platform documenting local superheroes. The Good Justice Society (GJS), with Derp's help, investigates the dark force released earlier. In the shadows, an evil gang led by Kingpin emerges, plotting to exploit the "Dark Dimension" to eliminate Superman and dominate the village. Superman confronts a powerful entity, only for it to be mysteriously killed by another masked entity, later identified by Derp as "metahumans." Unbeknownst to many, Kingpin collaborates with the masked entity in a sewer hideout, planning to harness the powers of other metahumans to transform himself into a mutant.

He later meets Noah Mad, who heard about Steve's battle against metahumans. The latter reveals he is from Central City and plans to take some Dark Matter to gain powers of his own. Steve makes a deal with him and agrees to give him Dark Matter if he helps him defeat Kingpin and Guia. The villains find Dark Matter and leave the Dark Dimension and shuts the portal. Steve confronts them and destroys the Dark Matter they have, but is defeated by Guia.
