When VoltaiK descends upon the Rocky Peaks, Atum challenges him as a traitor, but the corrupted warrior tempts him with knowledge of the relics, leaving Atum conflicted between loyalty and ambition. Meanwhile, Meow, Pandalf, and Uriel consult the Frozen Oracle, who warns them that those who gaze too deep into time’s reflection may see themselves as their enemy—Meow recoiling in horror when her mirrored self appears at Chronox’s side. Returning to his lair, VoltaiK confirms to Nebotus that Atum is wavering, while at the Rift’s heart Tuberkhan seizes one of the hourglass fragments for himself, the golden fire fusing into his chest as he swears his allegiance to Chronox, setting the stage for betrayal and war.

The Chaos Lord’s form unravels into storms of black-green fire as he swears he cannot be killed, only delayed, before being cast back into the depths.
