| Steve Stonecutter meets up with Simon Lowe / Archer, who tells him his team is ready to be trained. Alex Stonecutter arrives and agrees to help train them. Steve decides to go with Derp and investigate elsewhere. Simon and Alex meet up with Aurora Skye / Celestia, Lucas Stone / Titan, and Nathan Reed / Hydron, who all want to save the world from danger. Aurora reveals she wants to avenge her fallen brother who died due to Herobrine's attack. A "deceased" soldier from 1927 attacks the team and reveals it was being "controlled" by a powerful entity who wants to wipe superheroes from existence. Steve and Derp arrives and kills the deceased soldier, but the entire crew are attacked by Serena Blackwood / Mystica, who plans to lead her own group, but needs the current one eliminated. Alex tries to convince her to stop and work with them but Serena flees. | |||||

| Steve decides it would be better if they kill Serena, however Simon wants her to join his team, he dubs "The Authorities". Derp reveals that a old group of the same name, from the Good Justice Society, died while breaking the law. Meanwhile, Alex meets up with Isabella Cruz, who works at a supermarket store. Alex asks her to join her and the former reveals the worker's dorment powers. Simon confronts Serena and fails to convince her to join his team. He returns to the group to learn Derp has found key details regarding the soldier from a day prior. Flashbacks reveal a grave yard's worth of graves coming to life with corpses, with a figure resembling Steve overseeing the situation. | |||||

| The figure is revealed to be Herobrine, who returned from the place of "vanished" also called "The Gap", he orders the corpses to destroy Diamond Hill City and bring him the soul of Steve, the one who killed him. Simon raids a scammer base and stops their operations; whilst stealing their stash of Dark Matter, a substance that can create metahumans. Aurora, Lucas, and Nathan are attacked by the zombies, who become stronger after each hit and use "glitch" based powers to defend themselves. Steve and Alex appears which causes them to chase a fleeing Steve. Alex, Derp, and Isabella work together to kill the zombies. Afterwards, Isabella experiences a vision of pain. Meanwhile, Simon learns that Diamond Hill City still needs protecting. Steve begins experiencing visions of Herobrine again and tells Alex they must destroy the Nether dimension. | |||||
