The first season of the American superhero television series Superboy is produced by Elridge House Productions and Blackveil Studios. The season follows Alex Singh, an extraterrestrial who was raised on Earth and previously operated as the superhero Superboy, as events connected to his arrival and biological origins force him to confront the life he abandoned.
Alex Brow directed and wrote the series premiere, while Freddie Goodwin directed the remaining seven episodes. Brow wrote or co-wrote six episodes, with Lena Cross and Jackson Gold also serving as writers for the season.
The season is scheduled to premiere on October 2, 2026, and will consist of eight episodes released weekly through November 20. The first trailer is scheduled to be released on August 2, 2026.

Production
Development
The first season of Superboy was developed as an eight-episode superhero drama by Elridge House Productions and Blackveil Studios. The season was designed to introduce a new continuity centered on Alex Singh and his history as Superboy.
The series begins eight years after an extraterrestrial attack on South City changed Alex's life. The season explores his return to public life and the resurfacing of events connected to his arrival on Earth.
Alex Brow serves as a writer and director on the season, with Freddie Goodwin directing seven of the eight episodes.
Writing
Brow wrote the series premiere, "Ashes from Tomorrow", and the fifth episode, "Blood Remembers". He co-wrote "The Shape of Falling", "When the Stars Kneel", "The World We Leave Behind", and "The World We Choose" with Lena Cross.
Cross also co-wrote the fourth episode, "Everfall", with Jackson Gold. The writer of the third episode, "Saints Don't Descend", has not been announced.
The final two episodes, "The World We Leave Behind" and "The World We Choose", form a two-part season finale.
Directing
Brow directed the series premiere. Goodwin directed the remaining seven episodes, beginning with "The Shape of Falling" and continuing through the season finale.
