The 2026 Dabble Darts ANZ Premier League is scheduled to be the second edition of the ANZ Premier League, a professional darts tournament organised by the Professional Darts Corporation for players from Australia and New Zealand. The tournament is set to take place from 26 September to 31 October 2026 across six nights in Australia and New Zealand.[1]
The event will feature eight players competing across five league nights, with the top four players from the final league table qualifying for Finals Night at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on 31 October. The tournament winner will receive A$30,000, qualify for the 2026/27 PDC World Darts Championship, and secure a place in the Grand Slam of Darts.[1]
Simon Whitlock is the defending champion, having defeated Raymond Smith in the final of the inaugural edition in 2025.[1]
Background
The ANZ Premier League was introduced in 2025 as a regional Premier League-style event for leading darts players from Australia and New Zealand. The inaugural tournament was won by Simon Whitlock, who defeated Raymond Smith in the final to claim the title and return to the PDC World Darts Championship.[1]
Following the success of the first edition, the PDC confirmed that the tournament would return in 2026 with Dabble Darts continuing as title sponsor. The second edition will again be broadcast live in Australia on Foxtel and Kayo Sports, in New Zealand on Sky, and globally through PDCTV.[1]
PDC chief executive Matt Porter said that the 2025 event had provided "a terrific platform" for Oceanic players and described the 2026 tournament as another opportunity for players from the region to compete on major stages in front of large crowds.[1]
Format
The tournament will feature eight players from Australia and New Zealand. Each league night will be played in a knockout format consisting of four quarter-finals, two semi-finals and a final. Points will be awarded based on player performance on each night, contributing to an overall league table.[1]
After five league nights, the top four players in the league table will qualify for Finals Night in Brisbane. Finals Night will feature two semi-finals and a final, with the winner crowned 2026 ANZ Premier League champion.[1]
Qualification
The eight-player field will include defending champion Simon Whitlock. The winner of the Trans-Tasman Championship will also qualify, alongside the top four non-qualified players from the final Australian Darts Association rankings and the top two non-qualified players from the final DPNZ rankings.[1]
Russ Bray, the former PDC referee and 2024 PDC Hall of Fame inductee, will also travel to Australia and New Zealand as part of the tournament roadshow.[1]
Prize money
The winner of the 2026 ANZ Premier League will receive A$30,000. The champion will also qualify for the 2026/27 PDC World Darts Championship at Alexandra Palace and secure a place in the Grand Slam of Darts in November 2026.[1]
