2026 IDF World Grand Prix
The IDF Grand Slam is an annual professional darts tournament organised by the International Darts Federation (IDF). It is one of the federation's premier televised events and features 32 players from across the world. Qualification is determined through the IDF Order of Merit together with invitations awarded to winners of recognised major tournaments and regional championships.
Unlike traditional knockout tournaments, the Grand Slam begins with a group stage before progressing to a single-elimination bracket. The format rewards consistency across multiple matches while ensuring that the highest-ranked players receive favourable seeding.

History
The IDF announced the Grand Slam in 2026 as part of a wider expansion of its professional calendar. The event was designed to bring together the world's leading players, continental champions and emerging talent in a single international competition.
The tournament was introduced to complement the IDF World Championship by providing an elite invitational event during the latter stages of each season. Its combination of seeded players, group-stage play and knockout finals quickly became one of the defining formats on the IDF Tour.
Format
The tournament features 32 players.
Eight players qualify directly as seeded entrants based on the latest IDF Order of Merit. These players automatically advance to the knockout stage.
The remaining 24 players are drawn into six groups of four competitors.
Each group is played as a round-robin format.
- Matches are played over the best of seven legs.
- Players receive:
- 2 points for a win.
- 0 points for a loss.
- Group standings are determined by:
- Points.
- Leg difference.
- Legs won.
- Head-to-head result.
- Highest tournament average.
The top two players from each group advance to the knockout stage, joining the eight seeded players.
The knockout stage consists of:
- Round of 20
- Quarter-finals
- Semi-finals
- Final
From the knockout stage onwards, matches increase in length.
Qualification
Players may qualify through one or more of the following methods:
- Top eight on the IDF Order of Merit (automatic seeds).
- Winners of IDF televised major tournaments.
- Continental Championship winners.
- Regional Tour champions.
- Wildcard invitations awarded by the IDF.
If a player qualifies through multiple routes, the vacant position passes to the next eligible player on the Order of Merit.

The tournament offers one of the largest prize funds on the IDF circuit.

Trophy
The Grand Slam trophy is awarded annually to the tournament champion. A replica is retained by the winner, while the original trophy remains the property of the International Darts Federation.
