Implusion is an American superhero drama television series developed for The CW by Freddie Goodwin and produced by Mob Productions, and is based on the DC Comics character Impulse. Jordan Fisher stars as the titular character Bart Allen / Impulse, created by Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo. Jessica Parker Kennedy reprises her role as Nora West-Allen from the original series The Flash (2014–2023). The series also stars Chad L. Coleman, Wolé Parks, Chris Klein, and Tom Cavanagh.

Plans for a spin-off of The Flash began in 2021 when the 150th episode (#717) was released of The Flash. Goodwin began work on the series that was set in 2049 with intentions of making a series set in the much further future to stay true to the comics, however kept the time frame to 2049 due to budget costs. Development on the series was very messy and all over the place due to Goodwin not knowing if it is a miniseries or a complete series that could have a second season. The first season was originally ordered with 6 episodes, though in August 2022, the first season had an additional 7 episodes ordered.

Implusion was announced in June 2022 to be part of the trilogy that started in 2014, and premiered on November 10, 2024. The series was renewed for a second season in March 2025.

By June 2022, the series had been ordered for a 6 episode first season, however an additional 7 episodes were ordered for a total of 13 episodes two months after in August 2022. Goodwin saw this as a positive because the story he had planned out was for a traditional 13 episode season.

Originally, the team planned a story for 6 episodes and planned to have the Reverse-Flash as the lead villain, however,
