Goodwin's Universe (GWU) is an upcoming American series of American superhero films, based on characters that appear in publications by both Marvel Comics and DC Comics. The films have been in production since 2019, and in that time Mob Productions have 11 films in various stages of production.

Freddie Goodwin has produced every film in the universe. Jackson Greene, Mob Productions, and SOI Studios serve as the producers of all the films planned to be released. The films are written and directed by a variety of individuals and feature large, often ensemble, casts. Many of the actors, including Robert Downey, Jr. signed contracts to star in numerous films.

Chapter One includes the films Clash of Minds, starring Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Web of Shadows, Gods Among Mortals, Shadows of Gotham, Broken Alliances, and Goodwinverse: Assembled.

In addition to the films, Mob Productions plan to release small "episodes" called "Fragments". A fragment is set to explore small parts of the world of the GWU; the first installment titled Tony Stark's Assault is scheduled to be released on January 1, 2025. Each month will have one new Fragment.

Clash of Minds (2025)

Lex Luthor and Tony Stark are both invited to a secretive tech summit hosted by a mysterious benefactor. The two egos clash in a battle of intellect, culminating in a high-tech duel after discovering that the summit was a trap orchestrated by Victor Von Doom to pit them against each other.[13][14][15]

In October 2022, Goodwin began work on a shortfilm based on two characters.[16] He decided to choose a character from both DC Comics (Luthor) and Marvel Comics (Stark).[17] Before starting work on the film, Goodwin was joined by Alex Brow, who joined him in writing the screenplay.[18] Brow described the film as a "great way to kick things off", and stated Chapter One will be one of the "biggest things in the film industry".[19] Filming began in March 2024 and concluded in May of that year.[20] Reshoots occurred throughout the remainder of 2024 with everything being finished by November 2024.[21] The film stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark and Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, respectively.[22] It was announced that Superman would appear in the film in a cameo.[23]

Clash of Minds will be released in the United States on January 17, 2025, as the first film of Chapter One of the GWU.[24][25]

Web of Shadows (2025)

While investigating a string of robberies in Blüdhaven, Nightwing encounters Spider-Man chasing the same criminal.[26] Initially mistaken as rivals, the two team up to stop a deadly alliance between Black Cat and Catwoman.[27]

Web of Shadows is being developed by Alex Brow in collaberation with Goodwin, who believes it is essential to introduce Spider-Man as early as possible.

Web of Shadows will be released in the United States on February 15, 2025, as the second film of Chapter One of the GWU.[28]

Gods Among Mortals (2025)

Main article: Gods Among Mortals

When a portal between Asgard and Themyscira opens unexpectedly, Thor and Wonder Woman face off due to misunderstandings. However, they must join forces to prevent Ares and Loki from unleashing chaos in both realms.[29]

Gods Among Mortals will be released in the United States on March 13, 2025, as the third film of Chapter One of the GWU.[30][31]

Shadows of Gotham (2025)

Batman and Daredevil independently investigate a series of brutal murders in Gotham. Their paths cross when they realize the killings are orchestrated by Wilson Fisk working alongside Carmine Falcone. Together, they fight through the criminal underworld to bring both kingpins down.

Shadows of Gotham will be released in the United States on April 24, 2025, as the fourth film of Chapter One of the GWU.

Broken Alliances (2025)

Superman and Captain America are transported to a dystopian alternate Earth where heroes are enslaved by an oppressive regime led by Red Skull and General Zod. The two form an inspiring alliance to liberate the heroes and restore hope to this shattered world.

Broken Alliances will be released in the United States on May 19, 2025, as the fifth film of Chapter One of the GWU.

Fantastic Four: Rise of Tomorrow (2025)

In December 2023, reports surfaced that a film centered on the Fantastic Four was in development at Mob Productions, slated for inclusion in the GWU's 2025 lineup.[32][33] It was confirmed that the film would be a completely original take on the iconic team, distinct from previous cinematic adaptations.[34][35] Freddie Goodwin acknowledged the reports, stating that the project was in active development and targeting a mid-2025 release date.[36][37] It was revealed to be releasing on July 27, 2025.[38][39] Fans expressed excitement over the announcement, praising the decision to create a unique take on the iconic team.[40][41] Goodwin further teased that the film would feature “a blend of grounded storytelling and cosmic adventure.”[42][43]

In September 2024, excitement grew as it was announced that John Krasinski had been cast as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, reprising his role from Clash of Minds.[44][45] The announcement also unveiled the rest of the main cast: Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm / Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm / Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm / The Thing.[46][47] The casting choices were widely praised, with fans eagerly anticipating the dynamics between the actors and their fresh portrayal of the superhero family.[48][49] Industry analysts also noted the strategic casting as a means to inject new energy into the GWU.[50][51] This marked a significant milestone in the GWU, signaling the Fantastic Four’s pivotal role in shaping the future of the cinematic universe.[52][53][54]

Filming commenced on October 29, 2024, and is scheduled to wrap in March 2025.[55][56] The production team has planned a streamlined schedule, aiming to complete the shoot without the need for reshoots, ensuring the film stays on track for its mid-2025 release.[57][58]

Primal Crisis (2027)

In 2024, it was announced that a film based on the comic book storyline Primal Crisis was in development for a 2027 release. Goodwin stated this film would be the ending of a "huge storyline" when it is released.

Superman: Beacon of Hope

Superman defends Metropolis from a catastrophic event orchestrated by Lex Luthor, while showing the world why he remains a symbol of hope.

Iron Man: Heart of Steel

After discovering remnants of Kryptonite technology, Tony Stark creates a suit designed to neutralize alien threats. However, his test run is interrupted by a rogue Amazon warrior from Themyscira sent to retrieve the stolen tech, forcing Stark to reconsider the limits of his hubris in the face of mystical power.

Wonder Woman: Blade of Themyscira

Wonder Woman wields her legendary blade to protect Themyscira from a mystical invasion threatening its ancient secrets.

Spider-Man: Tangled Threads

Spider-Man faces a tech-savvy villain targeting New York City while struggling to maintain balance in his personal life.

The Flash: Race Against Time

Barry Allen becomes trapped within the Speed Force after pushing his limits during a rescue mission. As he navigates haunting visions of past and future events, he encounters the ghostly essence of Zoom, who warns him of a coming multiversal crisis. This short serves as a prelude to a larger conflict involving the Speed Force.
