The 2072 IDF World Championship was a professional darts tournament organized by the International Darts Federation (IDF), held at the historic Alexandra Palace in London from 14–17 January 2072. It was the 50th edition of the championship and featured 16 of the world’s top players, all of whom qualified through the IDF Order of Merit.

Logan White entered the tournament as the defending champion, having secured his third world title in 2071. However, Ethan Steel, determined to reclaim his throne, delivered a masterclass in scoring power and consistency. Steel produced two nine-dart finishes and secured his 20th world title by defeating Alex Brow 6–3 in the final, solidifying his legacy as the greatest darts player of all time.
