Alpha Legends is a free-to-play social network video game developed by SOI Studios and published by Monsteristic. Initially announced in December 2021, the game was released worldwide on May 26, 2022, for PC, iOS, and Android, utilizing Google Sites as its platform.

Originally believed to be a simple collection of fan-made monsters created by SOI Studios over the course of six years, Alpha Legends evolved into a much larger project by September 2021. This expansion in scope led to a delay from its initial October 2021 release date to May 2022. Development of the game had been confirmed to have started by June 2019, with an initial release planned for 2020, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Upon its release, Alpha Legends received generally positive reviews, though some critics pointed out the limited content at launch and the presence of bugs.

Gameplay and updates

Alpha Legends is a free-to-play, online, social networking video game. The game features multiple gamemodes such as Dungeons, Multiplayer, the Era Sagas, and Team Wars.

In February 2025, the "Void Era" began in Alpha Legends and would soon be announced to be cut short to a singler season and would be replaced with a new rarity.

During the same month, it was announced that the game would introduce a brand new rarity that tops all the Mythics being the Divine rarity—Divine monsters are only earnable from events and premium offers, only one copy per monster, and return to having a single trait instead of an evolving trait. Divine monsters will be released under a new "Chapter" release format. It was also announced that older monsters, that were created during the Fandom period would be added to Alpha Legends as lower rarity monsters but without changing the skills of the monsters and adjusting the stats accordingly.

Development

Mob Productions' journey in creating fan-made Monster Legends monsters began in 2017 when the director started designing original creatures inspired by the game. By 2019, after crafting hundreds of unique monsters, the director envisioned developing a personalized version of Monster Legends and began building it using Google Sites. By September of that year, plans for a 2020 release were in motion. However, the project faced delays due to a loss of momentum during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In December 2021, Mob Productions officially announced Alpha Legends, their own take on the genre, confirming its release date for May 2022. The announcement marked a significant milestone, transitioning the project from a fan-made concept to a fully realized game.

Release
