Current sports event 2025 ODF Darts Premier League

The ODF Premier League Darts is a darts tournament which is set to begin on 20 June 2025. The tournament will feature eight players from the Online Darts Corporation circuit competing in a knockout style format. The top four players in the PDC Order of Merit are joined by four wildcard selections to make up the eight-person field. Alongside the World Championship and the World Matchplay, it is considered part of the sport's Triple Crown.

Duncan MacLeod won the inaugural season in 2024.

History

In 2025, the ODF Premier League secured its most high-profile sponsorship to date with Volterra Energy becoming the official title partner. The partnership marked a major step forward for the league's commercial growth and environmental responsibility, with Volterra providing full clean-energy support across all venues and injecting $3.2 million into the season’s infrastructure, prize pool, and broadcast enhancements. The sponsorship also introduced branded segments like the Volterra Power Rankings and Surge Performance Bonus, rewarding standout player achievements. The deal helped elevate the league’s presentation, fan engagement, and global visibility, solidifying 2025 as a landmark season in ODF history.

Format

The ODF Premier League follows a best-of-11 legs, single-elimination format, with no additional prize incentives awarded for nine-darters, high checkouts, or individual leg statistics—unless a checkout exceeds 140, in which case it is recorded for statistical purposes only. The league does not feature prize money for weekly performances; instead, all monetary rewards are reserved exclusively for the Playoffs stage.

After 16 weeks of competition, the top four players in the league standings qualify for the Playoffs. The Playoffs adopt a longer match format, with the semi-finals played as first to 16 legs, and the final contested as first to 18 legs. For the 2025 season, the total prize for the winner is $80,000. All eight participants in the 2025 ODF Premier League were selected from the player pool of the 2025 ODF World Championship, with final selections confirmed on June 3, 2025.
