The Fine Print 3 is an upcoming American psychological thriller film directed and co-written by Ari Aster, with series creator Alex Brow returning as co-writer and producer. It serves as the third installment in The Fine Print franchise and is set chronologically between the events of the first and second films.
Aldis Hodge reprises his role as Solomon Keene, following a reported $30 million deal to return to the franchise. The film also features returning cast members from the 2027 original, including Teyonah Parris, Jesse Plemons, and Mia Goth.
Premise
Set in the year following the Virecon collapse, the film explores the origins of Solomon Keene’s involvement with The Archive. As global systems begin to destabilize, a convergence of fractured memories and redacted files threatens to alter the trajectory of those still attempting to uncover the truth behind the fine print.

Production
Following the mixed box office performance of The Fine Print 둘 (2026), Universal Pictures nonetheless greenlit a third film based on strong critical reception and franchise potential. Despite initially distancing himself from the series, Aldis Hodge agreed to return as Keene in early 2037 after negotiations resulted in a $30 million salary.
Ari Aster was confirmed as director and co-writer, marking his return to the director’s chair after writing the second installment. Alex Brow will produce and co-write. The film is being developed under Nightshade Studios and Monkeypaw Productions, with a significantly increased budget of $220 million to support its expanded narrative scale.
