January 2024 was a month and year that started on January 1, 2024 and concluded on January 31, 2024. The month featured major projects as part of the Minecraft franchise. January 2024 is the first month that Fanverse existed. It features The Authorities, Minecraft, seasons one, two, and three (two and three were cancelled), and multiple films. The month's final project was The Authorities Season One.

The months best project award goes to The Authorities Season 1, winning multiple awards including Best Scripted Series, Best Storyline, Best Written Article, and Original Article Award. The runner up project of January 2024 is Minecraft Season 1, which failed to reach the quality that the winner has.

Their mission takes an unexpected turn when a soldier, supposedly deceased since 1927 and controlled by a malevolent entity, attacks them. This entity aims to eradicate superheroes. Steve and Derp arrive in time to eliminate the soldier. However, they soon face another threat: Serena Blackwood, or Mystica, who confronts them with intentions of leading her own group and eliminating the current team. Alex attempts to persuade Serena to join forces with them, but Serena ultimately escapes.

Steve and Alex's appearance redirects the zombies' pursuit towards Steve. Alex, Derp, and Isabella collaborate to eliminate the undead threat, during which Isabella endures a painful vision. Simultaneously, Simon realizes the ongoing peril in Diamond Hill City. Steve, plagued by visions of Herobrine, confides in Alex about the necessity to destroy the Nether dimension.

In a flashback, it's revealed that Herobrine was resurrected and controlled by a god-like entity, Lord Shadowmancer, who manipulates the dead. In the present, Shadowmancer aims to replace life with death, halting the occurrence of death itself. Steve, Simon, Nathan, and Lucas unsuccessfully hunt the Angel of Death, discovering he has been killed. Alex collaborates with Isabella and new member Maxwell "Max" Jennings, known as Gearhead. Shadowmancer attacks the Good Justice Society, killing the CEO and causing destruction, but escapes before Steve's team arrives. The team reunites, sharing their findings, and learns Herobrine remains dead. Shadowmancer then opens a portal to an unknown dimension.

Their training is cut short by an assault that results in Rebeckah's death. This loss drives Simon to become a superhero, choosing archery as his method to ensure he doesn't lose anyone else close to him.

Aurora assists in the aftermath, discovering a threatening message. Simon, meeting with the mother of the victim he killed, receives unexpected forgiveness. However, their moment is disrupted by Shadowmancer, who summons Herobrine to eliminate Simon. Null intervenes, defeating Herobrine but vanishes mysteriously afterward.

Null reappears in the ruins of the Hypixel lobby, haunted by Shadowmancer's manipulations, reliving his past traumas and defeat by Alex. Shadowmancer, exploiting Null's vulnerabilities, pushes him to seek revenge. Steve, Derp, and Alex, intent on finding Null, encounter Simon entangled in a grave misunderstanding. Serena joins the group, aiming to defeat Shadowmancer and capture Null, but Steve persuades her to allow Null's assistance. Meanwhile, Shadowmancer, unable to confront the heroes directly due to his weakness in the Overworld, dispatches a doppelgänger of Alex in her Alexbrine form, resulting in the destruction of the heroes' base, which Serena manages to thwart. Shadowmancer's strategy involves sending adversaries until he gains enough strength to face the heroes himself.

In the confrontation, Derp loses his powers, Simon is crippled, and Shadowmancer's true identity as Max is revealed. Null intervenes but is defeated, and Shadowmancer retreats upon the arrival of reinforcements. The narrative then introduces a superhuman "mutant" with powers akin to Superman.

Alex and Derp discover that any potential cure for Simon could be harmful, and they honor his wish for peace, leading to his passing. The team mourns at Simon and Lucas's funerals, while Carol and Jack ominously prepare for a "War" they claim is provoked by Steve and Alex's mere existence.

In Japan, Steve searches for a metahuman with telepathy and meets Jackster, working with Nova and Flynn. Carol informs Jack about Steve's presence. Steve and Jackster encounter Mate, a telepathic boy, who agrees to assist. Mate reveals Aurora and Nathan's origins as duplicates from another timeline. Carol confronts them, unsuccessfully trying to recruit Alex, and then escapes. The government, learning about Substance–X, dispatches the FBI to secure it, while Jack and Carol open a portal to the Nether.

Steve faces the tough decision to make a significant sacrifice to usurp Jack's powers, resulting in the loss of Jerry.

In "Diamond Hill," chaos erupts as thugs loot stores but are defeated by Nether monsters, now known as "Piglins." Meanwhile, Steve gains mutant abilities by absorbing Jack's powers, enabling him to return to the normal world. In this world, Steve discovers his new powers, including flight, are enhanced by sunlight. Elsewhere, Alex starts her own company as a blogger, focusing on superheroes. The city is soon threatened by Carol's destructive return. Steve, donning a new suit, confronts her in a fierce battle. Although he defeats Carol, she is ultimately killed by Jack, who sacrifices his remaining power and life in the process. The aftermath of the battle reveals that Steve and Alex have inadvertently released a "Dark Force."

During a vision, Alex glimpses himself kneeling over the lifeless bodies of everyone, but the identity of the source remains unknown.

ShooterofIO (series)[edit | edit source]

ShooterofIO is a first-person shooter video game franchise that began in 2008 and was added to the Fanverse Wiki in January 2024. It currently has 18 installments and the latest installment is ShooterofIO: Modern Ops III.

ShooterofIO: Modern Ops III (2023)[edit | edit source]

ShooterofIO: Modern Ops III is a 2023 first-person shooter video game developed by War Games and published by Monsteristic, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Microsoft Windows. Announced in August, the game was released worldwide on November 10, 2023.

Modern Ops III retains the realistic, modern setting of its predecessors and continues the sub-series storyline. The story follows multi-national special operations unit Task Force 141 tracking down Vladimir Makarov, a Russian ultranationalist and terrorist planning to trigger a third World War. The game's multiplayer includes sixteen remastered maps from ShooterofIO: Modern Ops 2 (2010), with at least twelve new maps planned for inclusion post-launch. A Zombies mode, co-created by Dark Warfare sub-series developer Air Studios and built around an open world player versus environment experience, is also included.

After wrapping development on ShooterofIO: Advanced Operations (2020), War Games were reportedly assigned by Monsteristic to develop an expansion pack for Modern Ops II, which then changed to become a full, standalone release in the ShooterofIO series.

After wrapping development on ShooterofIO: Vanguard (2021), War Games were After a series of leaks in early-to-mid 2023, the game was officially revealed in August 2023, with a showcase event and public beta also taking place in October. Upon release, Modern Ops III received mixed reviews: it received praise for its multiplayer mode but criticism for its campaign mode, while its Zombies mode received mixed opinions.

Minecraft (2016)[edit | edit source]

Minecraft is a 2016 Australian animated superhero film produced by Benjamin Knowles & Freddie Goodwin and released by Mob Productions. The film is written by Wilma Zimmerman from a story by Benjamin Knowles, Homer Gutierrez & Myla Salazar and is directed by Freddie Goodwin. The film is the first film in the Minecraft film series. It follows Steve Stonecutter and Alex Stonecutter as they face off against a powerful Witch who wants to rule the place known as Diamond Hill Village.

Development for Minecraft began in 2012 with Mob Productions placing Freddie Goodwin in charge of the project, scheduled for a 2015 release, but was pushed back to 2016. Goodwin hired multiple writers to ensure the project has the best writing in any of his projects. The film was first announced in June 2013 and was confirmed to be releasing on June 10, 2016.

Minecraft premiered worldwide on June 10, 2016, and was released to the Mob Productions YouTube channel on June 10, 2017, the year following. The film recieved positive reviews from critics, with praise for its animation, humor, writing, and musical score. The film made $1.62 billion in its time in cinemas. A sequel, Minecraft: Block Wars, was released on December 12, 2019.

Agent Max is a 2019 Australian spy film and the first film in the Agent Max series produced by Universal Pictures and Freddie Goodwin, starring Karl Urban as the Agent, Agent Max Jones.
