"Pilot" is the first episode of the first season of the American superhero science fiction drama television series Impulse. The episode will be directed by Freddie Goodwin and written by Alex Brow. It is scheduled to be released on January 14, 2026.

Production

Development

In 2023, a series based on the titular character was confirmed to be in early stages of development. The series was ordered to feature 8 episodes by September 2024 and in December 2025, it was announced that the series would be released weekly on Facebook starting on January 14, 2026.

On December 17, 2025, it was announced that Danielle Panabaker would reprise her role as Caitlin Snow.

Filming

Filming took place in Vancouver, British Columbia, with extensive use of practical lighting effects to distinguish Bart’s unstable speed from Barry Allen’s traditional Speed Force visuals.

Music

Composer Blake Neely introduced a new musical motif for Bart that deliberately avoids The Flash’s iconic theme, reinforcing the character’s struggle to escape his father’s identity.
