The Fine Print is an American psychological thriller television series created by Alex Brow for Peacock. It serves as a reimagining of the Fine Print franchise, adapting and expanding the original film's lore into an episodic narrative format. The series stars Stephan James as Arron Wells, with Teyonah Parris reprising her role as Camille Rivers and Jesse Plemons returning as Richard Vale.
The first season consists of eight episodes and is set to premiere on October 10, 2025, with new episodes airing weekly. The series delves deeper into the thematic core of the original films, focusing on the intersections of memory manipulation, legal identity, and psychological control within a fractured bureaucratic system.
Alex Brow, the creator of the original film franchise, serves as executive producer and showrunner. While the series maintains many of the surreal and meta-structural elements of the films, it introduces new subplots, expanded character arcs, and a slower, investigative tone.
Premise[edit | edit source]
After the events of the original film series, Arron Wells—now under a new identity—awakens in a city governed by contracts that dictate not just legality but reality itself. As inconsistencies in his paperwork begin to surface, Arron is drawn back into a collapsing bureaucratic web, where each form signed rewrites pieces of his memory. Meanwhile, Camille Rivers continues her investigation into the origin of the REDACTED Protocol, and Richard Vale rises through the ranks of a clandestine oversight committee known only as "The Index."

- Teyonah Parris as Camille Rivers, a memory field investigator unraveling the origin of The Index.
- Jesse Plemons as Richard Vale, a manipulative and calculating official within the REDACTED Protocol.

Development[edit | edit source]
Development of the television adaptation was first confirmed in early 2024, with Alex Brow returning to oversee the project. Brow stated his goal was "to revisit the origins of The Fine Print through a different medium, allowing for more narrative intricacy and long-form psychological dissection."
In mid-2025, it was confirmed that eight episodes were ordered for the debut season. Stephan James was cast in the lead role, with returning actors Teyonah Parris and Jesse Plemons reprising their roles from the film franchise. Brow stated the show would function as "both a reboot and a reframing," focusing on systemic identity fragmentation in a post-factual society.
Release[edit | edit source]
The series is scheduled to premiere on October 10, 2025, exclusively on Peacock, with new episodes released weekly every Friday.
Reception[edit | edit source]
Critical reception will be updated upon release.
