2005-2009: Plans and more; Vibefeed, Alpha to final release[edit | edit source]

In March 2005, Goodwin began creating a outline for a 10 year plan for a online application he had in mind to enhance peoples ability to contact and stay in touch with other people from different countries. A planned social network was formed with the project being nicknamed "Project V".

Starting in March 2007, Goodwin began making a social media platform as a website using basic CSS, JavaScript, and HTML. By October 2007, Goodwin had a working first edition of Vibefeed, though the platform only supported text-based posts without the ability to post images, videos, or files. Vibefeed went public in a "Alpha" build on November 3, 2007.

Following the release of the alpha version of Vibefeed, Goodwin began looking into ways of improving the general experience without focusing on just the look of the application, though deemed it vital to enhance the visual aspect of the app by December 2007.

By February 10, 2008, Goodwin had released the first major update to Vibefeed following its alpha release; the update added the navbar at the top of the screen, and enhanced the "friends" system, changing the horizontal design with a vertical list instead. A new feature was implemented for PC users: when hovering over a profile, their profile-picture and name, with a streak of color underneath. However, on February 17, 2008, Goodwin removed the hovering feature due to issues and bugs that the feature caused. By March 1, Goodwin announced he plans to incorperate a second online platform to be integrated with Vibefeed.

On July 6, 2008, Goodwin released the Alpha 2.0 build, which featured enhanced running speeds reducing lag, faster posting, users having the ability to post images and videos, and improved profile pages.

On December 1, 2009, Goodwin confirmed he will pubically announce the next app in January 2010 as a new decade celebration, with the intention of having both social media platforms be integrated as one application.
