Deadpool 2 is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Deadpool. Produced by Mob Productions and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine (2024), and the 6th film in the Mob Cinematic Universe (MCU). The film will be directed by Lyra Stormwind from a screenplay written by Natalie Kingsley, Oliver Greenfield, Penelope Frost, Quentin Hart, Rebecca Wells, and Samuel Preston.
Deadpool 2 is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 21, 2026, as the first film of Phase Two of the MCU.

A sequel to Deadpool & Wolverine entered development by July 18, 2024, and was planned to be released in 2026. Mob Productions officially gave it a release date of May 21, 2026.
According to Freddie Goodwin, Deadpool 2 was originally meant to be written by himself alongside Ryan Reynolds, who was confirmed to be reprising his role as Wade Wilson / Deadpool in April 2025.

Principal photographgy is expected to take place from July to November 2025, in London, under the working title Diehard II. Filming was previously set to begin in March 2025 but was delayed.

Deadpool 2 is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 21, 2026, as the second film of Phase Two of the MCU.
