Alpha Legends is an upcoming free-to-play social network video game developed by Demonic Studios and published by Mob Productions. Announced on May 19, 2025, the game is scheduled to be released in 2025, for PC.

Designed as a revamp of the original game from 2022, SOI Studios stepped down from working on the game in 2023 to focus on ShooterofIO 1: Modern Ops (2023). In March 2024, Demonic Studios was confirmed to be replacing the former in developing a new version of Alpha Legends, slated for a 2025 release.

Development

Background

Designed as a full-scale reimagining of the original Alpha Legends released in 2022, the upcoming 2026 entry is positioned as a complete overhaul of the monster-battling title's core systems. The original game, developed by SOI Studios, was a team-based creature strategy game inspired by titles like Monster Legends and Summoners War, combining breeding mechanics, elemental affinities, and turn-based combat. While it launched with a dedicated player base, the game was criticized for its paywall-heavy progression, imbalance across rarities, and lack of post-launch content support.

In early 2023, SOI Studios officially stepped down from further development of Alpha Legends to focus entirely on ShooterofIO 1: Modern Ops, which launched in November of that year. Development resources were reallocated toward building out multiplayer infrastructure, campaign assets, and Zombies mode content for the FPS title, effectively placing Alpha Legends in stasis. While maintenance updates for Alpha Legends continued briefly, all major roadmap content was quietly cancelled, and most of the original dev team was shifted to other SOI projects.

Speculation surrounding the future of Alpha Legends persisted for months until, in March 2024, Mob Productions announced that a new studio—Demonic Studios—would be taking over the project entirely. Demonic Studios, known for its work on turn-based RPG systems and mobile strategy titles, was tasked with leading a full rebuild of Alpha Legends under a new engine, aiming for a global release in 2026. The transition marked a clear change in direction, with the game now treated as a reboot rather than a simple sequel or update.

Under Demonic’s leadership, Alpha Legends is being redesigned to emphasize strategic depth, monster team synergy, and a long-term progression loop supported by seasonal content and PvP ladders. Legacy systems such as the original breeding tree and outdated resource economy are being replaced by modular upgrade paths, crafting mechanics, and a revamped hatching and evolution structure. Demonic has also introduced a new "Realm Clashes" feature, a large-scale cross-server PvE war mode that encourages guild-based cooperation.

Although SOI Studios is no longer involved in active development, several original designers remain attached to the project as creative consultants. These individuals are primarily responsible for maintaining continuity in monster lore, elemental hierarchy, and the aesthetic style of the game’s universe. Mob Productions confirmed in mid-2024 that Alpha Legends (2026) is not a continuation of the prior game’s narrative, but rather a fresh start designed to appeal to both returning players and a broader mobile strategy audience.

As of early 2025, Alpha Legends (2025) remains in full-scale production. Community reception has been cautiously optimistic, particularly after Demonic Studios released early artwork and UI previews showing a streamlined interface and cleaner visual design. The development team has promised transparent monetization, increased monster variety at launch, and expanded offline features to improve accessibility.
