Season format[edit | edit source]
The inaugural Call of Duty Global League season is divided into four Majors and the Global Championship. All eight teams participate in every event.
Teams earn Global League Points based on their finishing position at each Major. The points earned across all four Majors determine the final regular-season standings.
The regular-season standings are used to seed the Global Championship. The team finishing first in the standings receives the first seed, while the team finishing eighth receives the eighth seed.
Tournament format[edit | edit source]
Every Major and the Global Championship use the same tournament structure:
- Eight participating teams.
- Single-elimination bracket.
- Four quarterfinal matches.
- Two semifinal matches.
- One tournament final.
- No third-place playoff.
- Quarterfinals are played as best-of-five series.
- Semifinals are played as best-of-seven series.
- Finals are played as best-of-nine series.
- All matches are played four-versus-four.
- The winner of each series advances.
- The losing team is eliminated from the tournament.

Map veto rules[edit | edit source]
Before each series, the two participating teams complete a map veto to determine the maps played.
For best-of-five matches, each team removes one Hardpoint map and one Search & Destroy map. Each team also receives one Overload veto or selection depending on its assigned veto position.
For best-of-seven and best-of-nine matches, fewer maps are removed because of the increased series length.
A map may appear more than once during a series provided it is played in a different mode. The same map and mode combination cannot be played twice during the same series.
The higher-seeded team chooses whether to act as Team A or Team B during the veto process.
