Alpha Legends: Void is the eighth expansion pack for the free-to-play social network video game Alpha Legends. It was announced in March 2025, and released on June 17, 2025. It is the second expansion part of the "Chaotic Warfare Saga".

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

The Void expansion marks a major evolution in Alpha Legends, delivering sweeping gameplay changes, deeper progression systems, and a bold new approach to rarity tiers. At its core, the expansion introduces three brand-new monster rarities — Exotic, Ancestor, and the ultimate tier, Supreme — each offering unique traits, exclusive skills, and specialized passive abilities that push player strategies into entirely new territory. Exotic monsters focus on hybrid utility and tactical play, Ancestors carry legacy powers that interact with multiple team archetypes, and Supreme monsters redefine endgame performance with unprecedented stat growth and one-of-a-kind abilities.

Dungeons receive a complete overhaul, both in presentation and function. The Void Dungeon Interface features an improved navigation system with collapsible menus, quick-jump tabs, and persistent filters, allowing players to instantly locate specific challenges, rewards, or difficulty tiers without scrolling through endless lists. A new Dynamic Pathing feature highlights optimal dungeon routes based on a player’s monster roster and current goals, making farming resources and targeting specific loot far more efficient. Seasonal Void Trials add rotating modifiers to dungeon runs — such as altered enemy AI, environmental hazards, or random debuffs — keeping encounters fresh and demanding adaptability from even veteran players.

A completely new progression mechanic, the Void Infusion System, allows players to merge duplicate high-rarity monsters into “infused” versions that unlock unique skill branches. This mechanic ties directly into the new rarities: Exotic Infusions create adaptive skills that can change mid-battle, Ancestor Infusions unlock ancient traits that affect entire teams, and Supreme Infusions push monsters beyond their normal stat caps, adding exclusive visual effects to showcase their powered-up form.

The Summoning Conduit replaces the older Conjuring UI for high-end rarity pulls. Using a mix of free-to-earn Void Tokens and premium currency, players can attempt multi-stage summons where each stage offers a choice between different monster archetypes. Even free-to-play players can now aim for the new rarities thanks to seasonal Void Token events, milestone achievements, and cooperative community challenges.

To complement the expansion’s darker theme, the Legends Pass: Void Cycle introduces premium content tied directly to the new rarities. Each pass features two guaranteed Exotic monsters, one guaranteed Ancestor monster, and the opportunity to unlock a seasonal Supreme monster through milestone progression. Pass holders also gain access to Void-exclusive relics, skins, and crafting materials that are otherwise unobtainable.

Finally, the Void update expands the game’s story through Era Convergence, a branching campaign mode where players relive key battles from past eras but rewritten through the lens of the Void’s corruptive influence. Choices made during these missions can alter rewards, enemy types, and even unlock secret dungeon routes, providing both narrative depth and repeatable gameplay incentives.

Plot[edit | edit source]

With Gaïarth sealed and the elemental realms slowly mending, a fragile peace blankets the land. Yet the earth’s quiet is deceiving. Deep in the Hollowroot Abyss, where Gaïarth’s prison walls now bear fresh cracks, an ancient presence stirs—not of earth, but of void, a remnant from before the First Sundering. Whispers speak of the Umbraclaw, an entity older than the elemental lords, feeding not on magic or matter, but on the will of living things.

In Skyhold, Nightwings grapples with his new role as rebellion leader, his resolve hardening even as he drifts from his allies. Saphira, now guardian of Nyrell, warns that the Shadelands grow restless—shadows lengthen unnaturally, even beneath bright skies. Across the seas, Hydrena’s absence is felt as tide patterns warp, threatening coastal cities. Without Voxar’s wisdom to anchor them, the rebellion teeters between vigilance and exhaustion.

A series of disappearances in the borderlands draws the rebels’ attention. Villages vanish without a trace—no survivors, no wreckage, only hollow, silent ground where life once thrived. Following the trail, Nightwings leads a strike force to the Blackrift Chasm, a fracture in reality that breathes cold air despite no wind. There, the rebels confront Voidborn Wraiths—creatures that unravel flesh and thought alike. In the chaos, Nyrell collapses, murmuring a name lost to mortal tongues: Zytherion.

Research in Skyhold’s forbidden archives reveals Zytherion was the first predator of the elemental plane, a formless hunter sealed beyond the veil by the combined will of the elemental lords and the First Dawn’s mortal champions. Its release would devour not just the elemental balance, but the will to resist across the realms. The Umbraclaw is its herald, weakening the world for its return.

The rebellion faces a grim truth: to prevent Zytherion’s awakening, they must sever the Umbraclaw’s tether to reality. This requires venturing into the Rift Beyond—an unstable realm where thought shapes terrain, and memories become weapons or chains. Saphira, Hydrena, and Nightwings are joined by Kaelthorn, last of the Skyforged, and Nyrell, whose oracle sight is the only compass in the shifting void.

In the Rift Beyond, each rebel faces personal phantoms twisted by the Umbraclaw—Saphira confronts the moment she nearly abandoned the rebellion, Hydrena relives the drowning of her empire, and Nightwings sees a version of himself who seized power for control, not freedom. Only by overcoming these illusions can they reach the Heart of Null, the Umbraclaw’s anchor.

The final confrontation is a war of will as much as blade. Nyrell channels the combined essence of the elemental champions into the Aetherbrand, now reforged once more with voidlight. The strike severs the Umbraclaw’s hold, but at a cost—Nyrell is consumed in the backlash, her light scattering across the Rift. The rebels escape as the chasm collapses, sealing the void breach.

Back in the waking world, victory feels hollow. The threat of Zytherion remains, its presence lingering like a shadow at the edge of thought. Nightwings swears to prepare for the day it comes, while Saphira quietly begins gathering knowledge of pre-Sundering magics. Hydrena returns to the sea with a grim vow: if Zytherion rises, the oceans will either be its prison—or its grave.

The rebellion’s legend grows, but so does the darkness watching from beyond.
