Primary developer rotation[edit | edit source]
In 2009, Air Studios released ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare, their first ShooterofIO game of the main series. Air Studios and SOI Studios signed a contract stating that the producer of each upcoming title in the series would alternate between the two companies. In 2010, War Games announced they were working on a main series title for the franchise. This game was ShooterofIO: WWII (2011) and they began developing a new ShooterofIO entry alongside Supreme Studios due for release in 2020. However, there were conflicts of interest between the two, which resulted in Air Studios taking over complete control of the project in order to speed up the development process. Starting in 2022, each producer would have two games each releasing in two years in a row.
