Minecraft Zone is a action-adventure, survival, extraction, and monster-taming game developed by SOI Studios and published by Monsteristic and Mojang, it is part of Xbox Game Studios, which in turn is part of Microsoft.
From its creation, Minecraft Zone was developed within two years by SOI Studios since 2021. It features music by Daniel "C418" Rosenfeld, Kumi Tanioka, Lena Raine and Aaron Cherof, as well as paintings by Kristoffer Zetterstrand. The game was fully released on November 18, 2023. Since its release, Minecraft Zone has expanded to mobile devices and consoles. On April 3, 2024, SOI Studios announced a second gamemode that is being incorperated into the game scheduled to be released in November 2024.
Minecraft Zone forces players to build their loadout from nothing. Each match, players are required to collect "Acquisitions" and "Schematics". Acquisitions are one-time use items that can be activated in subsequent games, but are forfeited if the player is eliminated mid-match. Schematics offer a more permanent benefit, allowing players to craft specific items, like a Diamond Sword, on a cooldown basis. The game features traditional Minecraft hostile mobs such as Zombies, Skeletons, and Endermen.
Purchase and availability[edit | edit source]
Minecraft Zone can be purchased from the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store, and App Store. Gift codes can be bought for others, for the same price as purchasing the game for yourself. Unlike traditional Minecraft, this game doesn't feature any free-to-play demo.

The player is the person that the user controls in the world. When the user starts a game, the player starts with no items or loadouts (will be given a free Wooden Sword, each match). The player start with 150 health points, which can be augmented by Armor Plates, each granting an additional 50 health points for up to a total of 300 points when maximum armor is equipped.

Minecraft Zone's original version is called "Java Edition", referencing Minecraft: Java Edition. This version is currently the only version and features a dozen of classic features from traditional Minecraft. The original game was version 1.1.0.
