ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare is an upcoming incremental game developed by Air Studios and published by Mob Productions.

Dark Warfare features two game modes that both feature gameplay that is similar. The player must progress by getting "Kills" by simply clicking a button, actions throughout each play session rewards the player with XP to make progress. The game features a story that is told through a special feature called "Intel", which explores the ShooterofIO universe. Dark Warfare is planned to have seasonal updates that introduce even more fresh content on a regular basis in forms of "Seasons".

Development on Dark Warfare began in December 2023 by Air Studios. The game will not be like any incremental game that has been played before and is intended to "enhance" the genre entirely, similar to how Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) brang the first-person shooter genre to new levels.

ShooterofIO is scheduled to be released on April 12, 2026, for Microsoft Windows platforms.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

Dark Warfare will feature two game modes that both feature gameplay that is similar. The player must earn progression by getting "Kills" by simply clicking a button, actions throughout each play session rewards the player with XP to make progress towards entering the next prestige.

Dark Warfare will feature a in-game "freemium" currency called "Scraps". This currency is earned in-game for free and cannot be purchased with real money. Dark Warfare will feature a classic prestige system which has players reaching level 55 and having the option to restart to level 1, upwards of ten times. Each prestige rewards players with boosts. Dark Warfare will feature a innovative Battle Pass system that is inspired by Fortnite and Call of Duty. It will be added to Dark Warfare during its first major seasonal update. Dark Warfare is set to feature a total of 90+ cosmetic items in Calling Cards and Emblems, whilst more will be added through the post launch seasons. The game will not include a Battle Pass system until Season One.

A anti-cheat system, called "ClickGuard", is planned to be included in Dark Warfare at launch. ClickGuard is designed to prevent unauthorized auto-clickers, allowing only those earned through in-game methods such as a perk based system called—"Badges"—earnable from playing the game.

Development[edit | edit source]

According to Air Studios, the game was being developed by SOI Studios at a much slower pace with a planned release of 2028 for the game. At the time, Monsteristic wanted to purchase the rights to the franchise, however Mob Productions won over the studios with a even bettter deal, which meant that the latter becoming the franchise publisher, and lead to the games release being pushed forward to 2025.

On September 3, 2023, Mob Productions said they were going to begin publishing yearly idle games developed by Air Studios, SOI Studios, and War Games, starting in 2025. It was announced the following week, on September 13, that Air Studios were developing the first game in the franchise and confirmed marketing to begin in January 2025. By the end of October 2024, Air Studios confirmed the game's title to be "ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare".

In March 2025, development was affected in delays due to disruptions. Air Studios announced that they intend on ensuring the game has enough quality prior to releasing the game, and stated they want to release it in the best state ever. Monsteristic announced they agreed on delaying the game into 2026 with a latest release in the month of April 2026.
