| Six months after the death of Herobrine, Steve Stonecutter, now powerless, begins constructing a castle in Diamond Hill City after receiving approval from Jackson Miles. With Derp's help, he completes the structure but requires a Nether Star to activate its beacon system. Meanwhile, Alex Stonecutter ventures into the wilderness to obtain "Spectral Essence" to forge a new staff capable of rivaling her previous one, during which she experiences visions of Steve’s disappearance. Later, Steve and Alex are confronted by a hooded figure who demands they open a breach to the Nether; when they refuse, the figure vows to kill them before vanishing. Derp suspects the figure may be Walker, while privately grieving Derpbrine following his erasure. After finishing the castle, Steve reveals his intention to restore his powers, which Alex opposes. The hooded figure later unmasks herself and is revealed to be the Baroness. | |||||
