The tenth season of the American superhero television series The Flash, based on the DC Comics character Barry Allen / The Flash, was officially announced in July 2024. The season is produced by Berlanti Productions, Warner Bros. Television, and DC Entertainment, with Eric Wallace returning as showrunner for his fifth consecutive season. It continues the series' long-running storyline within the Arrowverse, sharing continuity with other related television series.
This season marks a major shift in the series' focus, transitioning from longtime lead Barry Allen (portrayed by Grant Gustin) to his son Bart Allen, portrayed by Jordan Fisher, who now serves as the central protagonist. Gustin appears in a recurring capacity, continuing Barry's arc in a mentor/supporting role.
Like previous seasons, Season 10 maintains the “Graphic Novel” format, dividing the storyline into multiple self-contained arcs inspired by comic book structure. The season is expected to consist of **13 episodes**, featuring **three Graphic Novels** and **two Interludes**, with the first arc titled *Rogue War*.

Production
Following the broadcast of Season 9, speculation grew about the future of The Flash due to its status as the final ongoing Arrowverse series. In interviews during early 2024, showrunner Eric Wallace indicated that discussions were underway to evolve the series beyond Barry Allen, focusing instead on legacy and generational storytelling. In July 2024, The CW formally renewed the series for a tenth season, with Jordan Fisher promoted to series lead as Bart Allen / Impulse.
Pre-production began in September 2024 in Vancouver, with returning writers Thomas Pound, Lauren Fields, and Emily Palizzi contributing to the new arc structure. Filming for the season began in October 2024 and wrapped in early March 2025. Danielle Panabaker, who had directed multiple episodes in past seasons, returned to direct the midseason episode and one of the final arc entries.
Season 10 introduces new Rogues, explores multigenerational impacts of the Speed Force, and delves into Bart Allen's growth as a hero in the shadow of his father’s legacy. The season also revisits familiar threats, including a remnant of Red Death’s technology and a potential resurrection of Eobard Thawne through corrupted timelines.
