ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare 6 – Declassified is an upcoming first-person shooter game co-developed by Air Studios and Supreme Studios and published by Monsteristic. It is the twenty-first installment of the ShooterofIO series and the seventh main entry in the Dark Warfare sub-series, following ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare 5 (2020). The game is expected to be released in October 2024, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Dark Warfare 6 – Declassified boasts the longest production cycle of any mainline ShooterofIO game, spanning four years of development; some Air Studios and Supreme Studios employees stated that they have been play-testing the game since 2022. Marketing for the game began in May 2024, through the publishing of fictional advertisements on the front pages of several newspaper outlets, such as USA Today and The New York Post, and the release of several live-action teaser trailers. A full reveal for Dark Warfare 6 – Declassified is scheduled to debut on June 9, 2024, following the airing of the 2024 Xbox Games Showcase event.

Gameplay

Like previous entries in the ShooterofIO series, Dark Warfare 6 – Declassified is expected to be a first-person shooter, featuring a single-player campaign, a multiplayer component, and a new iteration of the cooperative Zombies mode.

Development

Dark Warfare 6 – Declassified is being co-developed by Air Studios and Supreme Studios, with Supreme Studios helping develop various aspects of the game, which is reported to be twice as big as ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare 4 (2018), the game that had a normal development cycle prior to Dark Warfare 5 (2020).

Release

Dark Warfare 6 – Declassified is expected to be released in October 2024, for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The game will also be available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers on release day. Additionally, following the Season 4 update for ShooterofIO: Modern Warfare III (2023), a logo image for a "cross-gen" bundle for Dark Warfare 6 – Declassified was found within Modern Warfare III's game files, confirming previous reports that the game would be releasing on last-generation consoles, including the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
