The Zerra Halo 15 is a smartphone developed and marketed by Zerra Technologies as part of the Zerra Halo series. It was announced on October 10, 2024, during the company’s annual product event, alongside the higher-end Halo 15 Pro and Pro Max.[1] It succeeded the Zerra Halo 14 and introduced the company’s new Z-Core Fusion chipset.
History[edit | edit source]
The Halo 15 was introduced as the mainstream flagship of Zerra’s 2024 lineup, positioned below the Pro models but above mid-tier Halo SE devices. Zerra marketed the device as “Beyond the Horizon,” emphasizing improved cameras, upgraded displays, and longer battery life. Pre-orders opened on October 12, 2024, with retail availability beginning October 22 in over 20 regions worldwide.
Design[edit | edit source]
The Halo 15 features a flat-edged chassis with curved corners, made from recycled aluminum with Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and back. The rear houses a triple-camera module in a rectangular layout, while the front display uses a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera. The device measures 7.9 mm (0.31 in) thick, slimmer than the Halo 14, while improving water resistance to IP68 standards.
Specifications[edit | edit source]
Hardware[edit | edit source]
The device is powered by the Z-Core Fusion SoC, fabricated on a 4 nm process, and integrates a new AI accelerator for camera and performance enhancements. Memory options include 8 GB RAM, while storage configurations range from 128 GB up to 1 TB.
Display[edit | edit source]
The Halo 15 features a 6.5 in (165 mm) Infinity AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2400×1080 pixels at ~440 ppi. It supports 120 Hz adaptive refresh rates and HDR10+, improving smoothness and color accuracy over the Halo 14.
Cameras[edit | edit source]
The rear triple-camera system consists of a 48 MP wide sensor with OIS, a 12 MP ultrawide, and a 12 MP telephoto lens with 2× optical zoom. Computational photography features include NightVision 2.0, Super HDR Video, and improved Zerra Portrait Mode. The front-facing 16 MP camera supports 4K recording at 30 fps.
Software[edit | edit source]
The Halo 15 shipped with ZerraOS 14 and later received ZerraOS 15 in mid-2025. ZerraOS 14 introduced features like Adaptive UI Lite and a redesigned Notifications Center, while ZerraOS 15 brought AI-enhanced multitasking and Zerra Share cross-device continuity.
Reception[edit | edit source]
The Halo 15 received positive reviews for its value and overall balance of performance, design, and battery life. Critics praised the improved cameras, adaptive 120 Hz display, and the efficiency of the Z-Core Fusion chip. Some reviewers noted that the phone’s USB-C port only supported 2.0 transfer speeds, a limitation compared to the Pro models. Users welcomed the device’s thinner build and longer-lasting battery compared to the Halo 14, although some felt the design was too similar to its predecessor.
