The 2026 Australian Open Darts Championship was a professional darts tournament that was held at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre in Adelaide, South Australia on 15–16 January 2026. It was the second staging of the tournament organised by the International Darts Federation.

The tournament will feature 16 players, with eight qualifiers coming from the IDF Order of Merit and the remaining eight invited based on international representation and recent form. As the opening Pro Tour event of the 2026 IDF season, the championship will play a key role in establishing early momentum on the Order of Merit.

Alex Brow was the defending champion, having defeated Lukas Parker 8–7 in the 2025 final. He successfully retained the title, beating Harrison Lewis 8–3 in the final.

Qualifiers and preview[edit | edit source]

The IDF confirmed the 16-player field on 7 January 2026. Several leading Order of Merit players enter the event seeking an early advantage in the new season, while a number of lower-ranked qualifiers will be making their Australian Open debuts.

First round[edit | edit source]

The first round of the 2026 Australian Open Darts Championship took place on 15 January, with all matches played over the best of 11 legs. World number one and top seed Alex Brow produced the standout performance of the round, defeating Toby Underwood 6–1 with a tournament-leading average of 105.06. Eighth seed Lukas Parker also progressed comfortably, overcoming Xavier Baker 6–3, while fourth seed Zion Carter advanced with a 6–2 victory over Nathan Reeves.

Fifth seed Spencer Taylor continued his strong recent form with a 6–1 win against Patrick Richards, as Harrison Lewis defeated Vince Young 6–4 in one of the more competitive encounters of the round. Wesley Adams booked his place in the quarter-finals by defeating Tanner Vaughn 6–2, while third seed Parker Reeves eased past Uriah Walker 6–1. Second seed Andy Dawson completed the line-up of quarter-finalists with a 6–3 win over Hunter James, ensuring all top eight seeds progressed to the second round.

Quarter-finals[edit | edit source]

The quarter-finals were held on 16 January and were contested over the best of 11 legs. Top seed Alex Brow delivered the performance of the tournament so far, defeating Lukas Parker 6–2 while posting a remarkable average of 109.41 to book his place in the semi-finals. Fourth seed Zion Carter advanced with a controlled 6–4 victory over Spencer Taylor, maintaining his consistency after a strong opening-round display.

Sixth seed Harrison Lewis edged through a closely fought encounter against Wesley Adams, prevailing 6–5 in the tightest match of the round after both players traded legs throughout. In the final quarter-final, third seed Parker Reeves defeated second seed Andy Dawson 6–3, producing a solid performance to complete the semi-final line-up.

The results set up semi-final matchups between Brow and Carter in the top half of the draw, and Lewis against Reeves in the bottom half.
