Lucien Tremblay defeated Henrik Volstad in the final, 6–7(3–7), 6–4, 6–4, 6–2 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2026 Tennis World Championship. It was Tremblay's first major title and the first time a Canadian player won the World Championship.
Tremblay lost the opening set in a tight tiebreak but stormed back with aggressive net play and dominant service games to win the next three sets. The match lasted 3 hours and 6 minutes and marked the culmination of Tremblay's consistent performances over the past two seasons.
Nikolai Gavrilov, the defending champion, was eliminated in the fourth round by unseeded American Isaac Ward, in one of the tournament's biggest upsets.
The tournament returned to Cape Town, South Africa, for its second consecutive year at the Crystal Arena, and continued to attract a global field of elite players and rising stars.
