ShooterofIO 2050 is a 2026 first-person shooter video game, developed by Air Studios and published by Mob Productions and SOI Entertainment. It is the nineteenth installment in the ShooterofIO series and the sequel to 2024's ShooterofIO: Ultimatum, it was released on November 22, 2026, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

ShooterofIO 2050 is set in the year 2050 and has no traditional campaign mode. Instead the game has the Missions mode that first appeared in ShooterofIO: Dark Warfare II (2012) and ShooterofIO: Modern Ops 3 (2013). The game's multiplayer mode features revamped mechanics that suit the games era and time setting. The game features the famous Zombies mode from previous games that were developed by Air Studios. The game will not feature the traditional Battle Pass system, instead feature Paid DLC with a "Contraband" system that returns from some Dark Warfare installments. A Challenges system and the Lootbox system return from previous ShooterofIO main installments.

After wrapping development on Ultimatum, Air Studios reportedly began early work on a sequel to Ultimatum. Mob Productions took over the franchise, they looked at the future of the franchise and made a dozen changes to which games would release in what year. During this, Air Studios were working on a game set in the Dark Warfare universe, but not a Dark Warfare installment. By 2025, Mob Productions had them include more than just the traditional three modes, as they planned to merge Wargrounds 2.0 into each year's game and wanted Air Studios to have ShooterofIO: Mobile share content in 2050. The game was officially announced to be coming by September 2025. The worldwide reveal was held in August 2026. A public multiplayer beta for the game was also made live in October 2026.

Gameplay[edit | edit source]

ShooterofIO 2050 features multiple gamemodes. ShooterofIO 2050 features a simplified Battle Pass system that allows players to progress it via any mode in the game, and unlike past games, all rewards are cosmetic and features no usable weapons and instead new weaponry added after launch will be unlocked through the new "Challenges" system added into the game at launch.
