The format of the ODF Premier League is going to be best of 11 legs, and a knockout stage type of experience. There is no additional prize fund for winning, getting any nine-darters, or anything higher. No high pegs are counted unless it is above 140. The only stage of the ODF Premier League Darts to grant prize money is the Playoffs, being 4th, 3rd, 2nd, and 1st.
The IDF Premier League follows a best-of-11 legs, single-elimination format, with no additional prize incentives awarded for nine-darters, high checkouts, or individual leg statistics—unless a checkout exceeds 140, in which case it is recorded for statistical purposes only. The league does not feature prize money for weekly performances; instead, all monetary rewards are reserved exclusively for the Playoffs stage.

After 16 weeks of play, the top four players of the standings will qualify for playoffs which will be a different format. The playoffs are much longer matches, being First to 16 and First to 18 Legs, respectively. In 2025, the prize fund for the winner is $80,000. In the 2025 season, eight players that participated in the 2025 World Championship Event will be selected to play. The selection will be made on June 3, 2025.

The IDF Premier League Darts is a darts tournament which began in 2024. The tournament features eight players from the International Darts Federation circuit competing in a knockout style format. The top four players in the IDF Order of Merit are joined by four wildcard selections to make up the eight-person field. Alongside the World Championship and the World Matchplay, it is considered part of the sport's Triple Crown.

There has been two winners of the event: Duncan MacLeod (2024) and Alex Brow (2025).

History[edit | edit source]

In 2025, the IDF Premier League secured its most high-profile sponsorship to date with Volterra Energy becoming the official title partner. The partnership marked a major step forward for the league's commercial growth and environmental responsibility, with Volterra providing full clean-energy support across all venues and injecting $3.2 million into the season’s infrastructure, prize pool, and broadcast enhancements. The sponsorship also introduced branded segments like the Volterra Power Rankings and Surge Performance Bonus, rewarding standout player achievements. The deal helped elevate the league’s presentation, fan engagement, and global visibility, solidifying 2025 as a landmark season in IDF history.

Format[edit | edit source]

The IDF Premier League follows a best-of-11 legs, single-elimination format, with no additional prize incentives awarded for nine-darters, high checkouts, or individual leg statistics—unless a checkout exceeds 140, in which case it is recorded for statistical purposes only. The league does not feature prize money for weekly performances; instead, all monetary rewards are reserved exclusively for the Playoffs stage.

After 16 weeks of competition, the top four players in the league standings qualify for the Playoffs. The Playoffs adopt a longer match format, with the semi-finals played as first to 16 legs, and the final contested as first to 18 legs. For the 2025 season, the total prize for the winner is $80,000. All eight participants in the 2025 IDF Premier League were selected from the player pool of the 2025 IDF World Championship, with final selections confirmed on June 3, 2025.
