The Zerra Halo Arc is an ultra-thin flagship smartphone developed and marketed by Zerra Technologies as part of the Zerra Halo line’s sixteenth generation. Announced alongside the Zerra Halo 16 and 16 Pro / Pro Max at the Zerra Zenith keynote in San Francisco, California on June 10, 2025, the Arc emphasizes thinness and portability while retaining the core platform features of the Halo 16 family. It became available in a phased rollout beginning June 24, 2025.

History

Zerra positioned the Halo Arc as a third pillar of the 2025 lineup—targeting users who prefer a lighter, slimmer device without stepping down to mid-range performance. The company highlighted re-engineered internal packaging, a vapor-spread cooling layer tuned for a thin chassis, and battery chemistries optimized for high cycle life in compact volumes.

Launch and availability

Pre-orders opened shortly after the keynote, with initial availability in North America, Europe, and select Asia-Pacific regions, followed by additional markets in July 2025. Color options at launch were Moonstone, Graphite Mist, Lumen Blue, and Terra Rose.

Design

The Halo Arc uses a flat-edge ceramic-aluminum frame with a glass back and a thickness of 6.2 mm (0.24 in). Antenna bands are embedded along the rails, and the camera island is reduced compared to the Pro models to accommodate the slimmer profile. Despite its size reduction, the Arc retains IP68 water and dust resistance and supports the same accessory ecosystem via USB-C and Qi 2.

Arc is powered by the Z-Core Horizon SoC paired with 12 GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1 TB of storage. Zerra integrates a custom power controller and graphite-vapor hybrid cooling to sustain performance bursts within a thin chassis. Fast charging supports up to 45 W over USB-C PD; Qi 2 wireless charging is supported with tuned thermal limits for slim devices.

Display

The Arc features a 6.6 in (168 mm) Eclipse Ultra OLED panel at 2700×1224 resolution, with 1–120 Hz adaptive ProMotion and up to 2,200-nit HDR peak brightness. An Always-On mode leverages zerraOS 15’s low-refresh compositor to minimize power draw.

Cameras

To preserve thinness, Arc uses a dual-camera system: a 50 MP wide primary with OIS and a 48 MP ultrawide with macro support. Computational photography features—Night Portrait, Super-Res 2× crop from the main sensor, and HDR Video—are handled by the Horizon NPU. The front camera is 20 MP with EIS and supports 4K up to 60 fps.

Connectivity

Arc supports sub-6 GHz 5G globally, with mmWave available in select regions. It includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0 with LE Audio, UWB for spatial device discovery, NFC for Zerra Pay/Express, and dual-frequency GNSS (L1/L5). The USB-C port provides USB 3.2 Gen 1 data rates (5 Gbit/s).

Software

The device ships with ZerraOS 15, including Adaptive UI, Zerra Share for cross-device clipboard, calls, and notifications, and App View for desktop-style multitasking when connected to an external display. Long-term software support is planned for at least five major OS releases.

Reception

Early reviews praised the Halo Arc’s thin, lightweight build and premium display while noting the trade-off of a smaller battery and the absence of a periscope telephoto lens found on the Pro models. Performance under sustained load was described as competitive for the class, with Zerra’s thermal tuning preventing major throttling in day-to-day use. Pricing drew mixed reactions: some lauded the flagship experience in a slim form, while others questioned value relative to the standard Halo 16.
