The Zerra Halo 14 Pro and Halo 14 Pro Max are high-end smartphones developed and marketed by Zerra Technologies. They were unveiled on October 10, 2023, alongside the standard Zerra Halo 14, and released later the same month. Positioned as premium offerings in the fourteenth generation of the Zerra Halo line, they introduced a new camera system, upgraded display technology, and extended battery life compared to the Halo 14.[1]
History[edit | edit source]
The Halo 14 Pro series followed the Zerra Halo 13 Pro as the top-tier option in Zerra’s lineup. While the standard Halo 14 emphasized refinement, the Pro and Pro Max models highlighted cutting-edge camera hardware and performance boosts. The devices shipped with ZerraOS 13, and in 2025 were upgraded to ZerraOS 15, bringing Adaptive UI and Horizon AI features.
Design[edit | edit source]
The Pro models feature titanium-infused frames with curved edges and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Both models adopt a slightly thicker profile than the standard Halo 14 to accommodate larger batteries and an advanced camera system. New finishes included Titanium Blue and Solar Gold, alongside classic Obsidian and Titanium Gray. The design retained a punch-hole camera but pushed bezels even thinner.
Specifications[edit | edit source]
Hardware[edit | edit source]
The Halo 14 Pro and Pro Max are powered by the Z-Core Quantum+ chip paired with 12 GB RAM. Storage options range up to 2 TB. The Pro houses a 4,700 mAh battery, while the Pro Max offers 5,200 mAh, both supporting fast wired and wireless charging.
Display[edit | edit source]
The Pro features a 6.7 in (170 mm) Eclipse Ultra OLED, while the Pro Max expands to 6.9 in (175 mm). Both deliver ProMotion adaptive refresh at up to 120 Hz, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision certification, and a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, making them among the brightest panels in Zerra’s lineup to date.
Cameras[edit | edit source]
The rear system introduced a 200 MP wide primary lens with improved OIS, paired with 48 MP ultrawide and 48 MP periscope telephoto capable of 5× optical zoom. This marked the debut of Zerra’s NightVision Pro imaging engine, enabling clearer low-light photography and computational zoom enhancements. The front-facing 32 MP camera offered HDR and better portrait effects.
Software[edit | edit source]
The Pro models shipped with ZerraOS 13, which included redesigned widgets and expanded Zerra Share features. With ZerraOS 15, the phones gained Adaptive UI personalization, Horizon AI-based predictive tools, and faster Zerra Share device handoff.
Reception[edit | edit source]
The Halo 14 Pro and Pro Max were praised for their class-leading displays, extended battery life, and powerful camera system. Reviewers highlighted the 200 MP primary sensor and periscope telephoto as major advances, though some criticized Zerra for keeping the base storage option at 256 GB despite rising prices. The Pro Max was described as the “ultimate Halo experience” for its endurance and larger screen, while the Pro appealed to those wanting similar capabilities in a smaller form factor.
