The 2025 IDF Next Gen Tour was a series of professional development darts tournaments organised by the International Darts Federation (IDF). It was the second edition of the IDF Next Gen Tour and was held between 12 April and 14 September 2025. The tour formed part of the IDF's youth and development structure, sitting below the main IDF Pro Tour and above the IDF Development Series.

The tour was open to players aged under 25 at the start of the season. Senior title wins did not make a player ineligible, although priority entry was given to players without full senior tour status. The tour was designed to give younger players a structured pathway into senior IDF competition, with ranking points, prize money, and qualification places available across the season.

Noah Draven finished as the tour's overall winner after winning three of the eight events and reaching the final of the last event. Zachary Moorcroft finished second in the final standings, while Jaxon Flint, Finn Hargreaves, Ryder Callan, Jai McCormack, Cooper Maddox, Tyler Keane, Reece Mallory, and Bradley Soren were also among the leading players on the circuit.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Background[edit | edit source]

The IDF Next Gen Tour was introduced to provide a direct competitive bridge between junior-level darts and the senior professional circuit. The 2025 edition expanded the format of the tour, increasing the number of recognised events and linking the final standings more closely with senior qualification routes.

The tour was positioned alongside the 2025 IDF Youth Championship and the 2025 IDF Development Series as part of the IDF's wider youth strategy. While the Youth Championship was staged as a single knockout event, the Next Gen Tour used a points-based season format. Results across all events contributed to a final ranking table, with the leading players receiving entry into selected senior qualifiers and the 2026 IDF qualifying school.

Eligibility[edit | edit source]

Players were eligible to compete if they were under the age of 25 at the beginning of the 2025 season. Players who had already competed in senior IDF televised events were permitted to enter, although the IDF reserved invitational priority for players outside the top level of the senior Order of Merit.

The tour included players from Australia, England, New Zealand, Wales, Scotland, Canada, Ireland and other affiliate regions. The field varied across events depending on venue and qualification route.

Format[edit | edit source]

Each Next Gen Tour event was played in a straight knockout format. Early rounds were played as best of nine legs, with quarter-finals and semi-finals played as best of eleven legs. Finals were played as best of thirteen legs.
