The 2025 World Series of Darts Finals was a professional darts tournament that took place from 18 to 21 September 2025 at AFAS Live in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Organised by the International Darts Federation (IDF), it was the inaugural edition of the IDF's World Series of Darts Finals and formed part of the 2025 IDF ranking calendar.

The tournament featured 32 players. The field consisted of leading players from the 2025 IDF World Series circuit, selected Order of Merit qualifiers, international representatives and invited regional finalists. The event was played in a legs format, with match lengths increasing from best of 11 legs in the first round to best of 21 legs in the final.

Elias Storm won the title, defeating Theo Bartlett 11–8 in the final. It was Storm's first major ranking title of the 2025 season and one of his strongest televised performances of the year. Storm also recorded the highest checkout of the tournament, a 170 finish during his semi-final victory over Alex Brow.

Logan White, Max Mad, Lukas Parker and Zion Carter all reached the quarter-finals, while Brow and Bartlett reached the semi-finals. The tournament was notable for a number of close matches and for several results in which the winning player recorded a lower average than the losing player, reflecting the importance of finishing and timing in leg-play darts.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Background[edit | edit source]

The World Series of Darts Finals was introduced by the IDF in 2025 as the concluding event of the World Series circuit. The World Series events were staged across international markets during the season and were designed to expand the IDF calendar beyond its established ranking majors and domestic tour events.

Unlike the IDF World Darts Championship, which used a set-play format, the World Series of Darts Finals was contested entirely over legs. The format was intended to reward fast starts, strong scoring bursts and efficient doubling across shorter televised matches. The tournament was also positioned as a bridge between the mid-season tour calendar and the final run of major events in October and November.

The inaugural Finals were awarded to Amsterdam, giving the IDF a major televised event in mainland Europe. The event was promoted as one of the most international competitions of the 2025 season, with players qualifying through World Series results, affiliate events and the IDF Order of Merit.

Venue[edit | edit source]

The tournament was staged at AFAS Live in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The venue was selected because of its association with major indoor entertainment events and its location in one of the strongest European darts markets. It was the first IDF ranking major to be held in the Netherlands.

The tournament featured 32 players in a straight knockout format. The top 16 players based on World Series ranking and IDF Order of Merit position were seeded.

Aftermath[edit | edit source]

Storm's victory gave him his first major IDF ranking title of 2025 after several deep runs earlier in the season. His wins over Mad, Brow and Bartlett across the final three rounds made the title one of the strongest tournament runs of the year.

Bartlett's run to the final continued his breakout year across both youth and senior competition. Brow's semi-final defeat was notable because he recorded the highest average of the tournament but lost after Storm's late surge. The event also strengthened the case for the World Series circuit as a meaningful qualification route within the IDF calendar.
