The 2025 IDF Oceanic Masters is a professional darts tournament organised by the International Darts Federation (IDF). It takes place from 18 September to 28 September 2025 at the Perth Arena in Western Australia. The event marks the first 64-player tournament in IDF history and features a set-play format, with matches played over increasing set lengths across ten days of competition. It is regarded as one of the most prestigious tournaments on the IDF World Tour, attracting top players from across the globe.

  • 64-player knockout tournament.
  • Matches played in sets (best of 5 legs per set).
  • First round – Best of 5 sets
  • Second round – Best of 7 sets
  • Third round – Best of 9 sets
  • Quarter-finals – Best of 11 sets
  • Semi-finals – Best of 13 sets
  • Final – Best of 15 sets
  • Players must win by two clear legs to secure a set (sudden-death leg used if required).

The 2025 Oceanic Masters marks the largest darts tournament ever staged in the region, introducing set play to the IDF circuit for the first time. Featuring 64 players from 11 nations, the event blends global stars such as Alex Brow, Max Mad, and Theo Bartlett with a wave of emerging regional talents. The Perth Arena hosts ten days of competition culminating in a best-of-15-set final, with the winner earning $120,000 and one of the sport’s most prestigious titles.

Round 2[edit | edit source]

Qualifier Zane Holloway stunned world #2 Max Mad 4–2, producing five 180s and averaging 101.9 to send the two-time World Champion packing.

Ryder Glenn delivered another shock, edging Luke Littler 4–2 in a fast-paced classic that went the distance in legs.

Elsewhere, Alex Brow, Theo Bartlett, and Ethan Steel continued their dominant form, while Takumi Sato impressed with a 4–3 win over Nate Parker to reach his first IDF major Last 16.

Jamie Rees, Mason Owens, and Lukas Parker all advanced comfortably, while Jordan McAllister survived a 4–3 battle against Ethan Lim to round out the field.

The Last 16 will now feature eight seeded players and eight unseeded qualifiers — a balance that perfectly captures the federation’s new global depth.

Alex Brow, Rik van Doren, and Ethan Steel remain dominant, but unseeded Zane Holloway continues to shock the darts world — defeating Jayden Locke 5–4 with a 99.9 average and back-to-back 13-dart legs.

Ryder Glenn’s rise continues as he dumps Aiden Brooks, while Callum Fraser holds off Jamie Rees in a nine-set epic.

Lukas Parker powers past Mason Owens, and Jordan McAllister edges Theo Bartlett to make his first major quarter-final.

The Quarter-finals lineup is now set — and features four top seeds, three dangerous outsiders, and one unstoppable underdog.

Quarter-finals[edit | edit source]

The Quarter-finals produced one of the most thrilling nights of the season.

Alex Brow overcame a spirited Callum Fraser 6–4 in a high-quality clash averaging over 101.

Rik van Doren survived a scare from Ryder Glenn, taking a 7–5 victory after trailing 3–5 — his experience shining through.

Underdog Zane Holloway struck again, knocking out Lukas Parker 7–6 in a tiebreaker with nerves of steel. His finishing on double 10 sealed yet another stunning upset. And in the final match, Ethan Steel edged Jordan McAllister 7–5 in a powerhouse duel that featured twelve 180s combined.
